About
AuxDefense is a project financed by the Ministry of National Defense with the purpose of developing advanced personal protection equipment with high resistance to impact, cuts and perforation, and military equipment components (composites) with excellent resistance to impact.
With this project we hope to create innovative products, such as bulletproof vests and helmets and combat clothing, including knee and elbow pads, through the use of structures with auxetic behaviour.

O AuxDefense é um projeto financiado pelo Ministério da Defesa Nacional que tem como objetivo o desenvolvimento de equipamentos de proteção individual avançados com elevada resistência ao impacto, corte e perfuração e de componentes de equipamentos militares (compósitos) com excelente resistência ao impacto.
Deste projeto espera-se a criação de produtos inovadores, incluindo coletes e capacetes balísticos e fardamento de combate, incluindo joelheiras e cotoveleiras, recorrendo a estruturas com comportamento auxético.
